The National Weather Service is forecasting river crests near or above all-time records in the lower Mississippi River Valley.  Tiptonville, Caruthersville, Arkansas City, Vicksburg and Natchez  should see record flooding levels while Osceola, Memphis, Helena and Greenville will come close to record crests.

Areas to the north along the Ohio River are also experiencing major river flooding.

Water from upstream snowmelt and heavy rains have pushed the rivers beyond their banks.  Paducah, Kentucky recorded its wettest Spring and April.  March through May precipitation in Paducah totaled 28.24 inches beating the old record of 27.04 inches in 1973.
