A powerful coastal storm dropped over three feet of snow in northwestern Massachusetts. Berkshire, MA reports 38.25 inches of snow from Wednesday’s storm. Two to three feet of snow was measured from northwestern Massachusetts to southern Vermont. More than a foot of snow fell from eastern New York to southern Maine.
Numerous snowfall records were shattered. For Hartford, Connecticut, it was the greatest snowstorm on record. Bradley International Airport recorded 24.0 inches of snow breaking the old record of 21.9 inches set on February 12, 2006.
